The Apprentice - What do they do with the rest of the time.?

I've always wanted to know..

Each task generally takes 2 days. The really big ones at the end sometimes take 3.

Yet they are away for 12 weeks...what do they do on the other 4-5 days per week when they aren't doing a task..

Or does it not really take 12 weeks...?

I can't remember tbh- I think they do get some time off IIRC. Also there are days where they do interviews and what not. I think you might be right that it's not really 12 weeks too.

I think its all filmed continuously over a 3/4 week period.

i've read in the past that we are not seeing it in real time. it's filmed continuously, they go straight from one task to the next. then, there is a gap for them once it's down to the last 3/4, while they spend time working for sir alan to give him more to base his final decision on.

but, do any of the previous apprentices still work for him?
