Awful. Phil really got on my t*ts

Libb · 19/04/2005 20:45

I really enjoyed it, but I liked it when he first appeared so could it be a generation thing?

Hulababy · 19/04/2005 20:54

I hate it when Eastenders is so violent and aggressive. Just not what a soap should be about, especially at such an early hour, IMO.

Hulababy - my DD says to me when she hears Eastenders music - "mummy, this isn't suitable for me"! I agree, too violent, shouty (if that's a word), aggressive, full of attitude - exactly what I try to protect my little ones from. Haven't watched it for ages.

ambrosia - dunno why so many kids watch it. My DD is 6 and has never seen it as it's clicked off the moment it starts. It's addictive drivel I know but not suitable for little ones. Remember the scenes when Kat and Alfie were screaming at each other over the Andy episode - OMG - at 7.30/8pm. Can't see why it hasn't been moved to a later slot.

snafu · 19/04/2005 22:21

Have stopped watching it now. It has absolutely no redeeming qualities anymore. Every single character is a joke, the plots are pathetic, the acting risible. And they really think that bringing back The Angry Tomato is going to improve ratings?

Clayhead · 19/04/2005 22:23

lol at The Angry Tomato, an excellent description.

I actually can't bear to watch him...

Evesmama · 19/04/2005 22:28

bring back dennis!!!!
then it'll be worth watching again

whatsername · 19/04/2005 22:28

Was it me, or did anyone notice a severe lack of acting ability in Phil Mitchell?

I wouldn't let my kids watch it either, fortunately mine are generally in bed by then. Although I'm not sure why I watch it anymore, habit really.

basketcase · 20/04/2005 08:40

what a pile of unrealistic junk. I go through phases of watching it and tonight has just triggered a disgusted and disillusioned "never watching it again" phase...for a few weeks
