Ashes to Ashes Series 1 !!

Lemontart · 20/03/2009 09:49

I love DVD box sets and prefer it to normal tv now - no advert breaks and no waiting a week for the next fix if you want

Blackpool is brilliant

If you like quirky sci fi FIrefly is a great series

Regenesis is brilliant, very witty and funny
Supernatural to watch the boys
Jericho for a little post apocalyptic chaos

ellingwoman · 20/03/2009 09:56

An oldie - Sapphire and Steel complete series. Still scary - especially the episodes about the man with no face who captured people by putting them into old photographs. Fantastic!

AnathemaDevice · 20/03/2009 10:03

Lost
Life On Mars

ZoeC · 20/03/2009 10:04

I Claudius
Life on Mars (series 1 and 2)
Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy

Supernatural - I don't have them but they are on my birthday list goshdarnit! oh the pretty

24- may induce heart palpitations if watching it back to back... we have watched the first season back to back over a weeks time then did it again with the second and third.. still jittery now... and haven't watched the rest of the seasons..

Firefly- fantastic space coyboys from the master Joss Wedon

Buffy- more fab episodes than not.. espically the musical one..

Dexter- OMG I have never a serial killer before.. you must must watch..

heroes, CSI any,

the Hugo nominated Dr Horrible

wasabipeanut · 20/03/2009 10:15

This is fab - already have Dexter on order from Ilove.

TV is a bunch of utter pants at the moment - Heroes is the only thing I like.

GrinnyPig · 20/03/2009 10:17

Lost
Desperate Housewives series 1
Love Soup

annaje · 20/03/2009 11:37

it depends on your taste, but can recommend

Supernatural - very good and the boys at HOT!

The Wire - superb, but not for everyone as it is complicated and intense - but well worth the effort.

Dexter - totally gorgeous serial killer - need I say more.

Firefly - we watched it over a week - couldn't get enough.

Lovemyshoes · 20/03/2009 14:22

I second Sapphire and Steel, the ones where her eyes turn black and the one with the little girl singing nursery rhymes still sends shivers down my back.

EldonAve · 21/03/2009 18:15

Thanks everyone for all the fab suggestions

Six feet under

new "Battlestar Galactica" one of the few things I've ever watched and not worked out the series finale!

StealthPolarBear · 21/03/2009 18:31

24 and 6 feet under, definitwely
i can't recommend 'alias' but if you're stupid enough to want to watch it, I'll happily send you season 1...

egyptianprincess · 21/03/2009 18:33

mad men

JimJammum · 21/03/2009 19:08

I second Spooks - they have been showing some old eps on satellite recently and I have been getting into them as I only started watching 2 yrs ago. There's 7 series of them, so should keep you busy.

cocolepew · 21/03/2009 19:13

Lost
ER
Dexter
Desparate Housewifes
The Sheild
Sopranos
Outnumbered
QI

bamboostalks · 21/03/2009 19:18

Damages and Madmen are the very best things on tele at the moment. You will not regret buying them.

cocolepew · 21/03/2009 19:28

Damages is brilliant.

verygreenlawn · 21/03/2009 19:34

B1984 · 22/03/2009 07:31

google OV guide, and watch whatever you fancy

mum2samandalex · 23/03/2009 23:09

i really love 24 so any recommendations for me something along similar lines?

Alibobster · 25/03/2009 20:32

Dynasty - so dated and cheesy to watch now but good fun - ER & Grey's Anatomy also good

Highlander · 26/03/2009 09:50

Ice Road Truckers
Axe Men

it's utterly hypnotic, watching hours and hours and hours of men driving trucks and chopping down trees. Interrupted briefly by bouts of smoking and swearing. Bliss

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 26/03/2009 09:55

another vote for Mad Men
