Terrifying - that poor girl. What a life.

PottyCock · 17/03/2009 21:44

It's v sad

Alambil · 17/03/2009 21:57

a lot of their problems come down to mental health, don't they

I feel so sad for Chloe

ClaireDeLoon · 17/03/2009 22:01

Very sad for Chloe but glad she is getting help now. I hope she overcomes her problems.

kylesmyloveheart · 17/03/2009 22:06

Oh gutted im missed it. what side was it on so i can watch in on the internet. thanks

smurfgirl · 17/03/2009 22:12

I saw May on This Morning actually, she came across well but seemed in a bad situation still - homeless etc.

chanelcandy · 17/03/2009 22:36

Does anyone know if the first episode will be repeated? I really wanted to watch it.

poshwellies · 17/03/2009 22:37

It was ITV.

southeastastra · 18/03/2009 08:11

it's appalling that chloe was just going to be released without anywhere to go to, system is crazy. no wonder she ended back in holloway.

the other addict girl was just a prat, why oh why was she given all that money??

QuantitativeMeasure · 18/03/2009 09:40

I thought this programme was brilliant and gutted that it was a one of, I think that they could have got a few episodes out of there.

Chloe needs some serious help- very sad.

TimeForMe · 18/03/2009 10:06

I think it is a three part documentary actually so you should be able to catch it next week

QuantitativeMeasure · 18/03/2009 11:26

Oh is it? I didnt see a trailer at the end so just it was a one-off.

TimeForMe · 18/03/2009 11:54

candyfluff · 18/03/2009 13:12

what a god awful place - i couldnt cope in there.

clarebear1 · 18/03/2009 16:55

i was looking forward to this just sounded interesting. I would absoloutely s**t myself in there! do feel sorry for some of them but in a way it is their own fort, but i supose it is hard to say from my point of view seeing as im nt n drugs or know what its like to be on them. And aswell fancy the screws giving that girl £160 when she left what do they fink shes gonna go and spend it on der!

MorrisZapp · 18/03/2009 17:38

I thought the gift of cash was a bit unwise too. It shows a distinct lack of 'joined up thinking'.

If she'd been given vouchers etc though she'd have found a way of exchanging them for cash. It's impossible to help to support a drug addict financially as they will spend every penny on the drugs.

TimeForMe · 18/03/2009 18:11

I was thinking about that too and wondered if it would have worked more effectively if she had been made to collect the cash from her probation officer and maybe not in a lump sum.

If she is to get that amount of money each time she is released from prison I'm not surprised she doesn't mind going back inside!

CrackerNut · 18/03/2009 18:15

I thought that giving them cash was just plain stupid, and also with Chloe, why didn't they remover everything from her room to stop the repeated self harm attempts ?

TimeForMe · 18/03/2009 18:23

My thoughts exactly! They seemed to be of the thinking that she had deeper problems and those problems were not something that concerned them. It wasn't their job. I felt really sorry for Chloe, IMO she needed specialist help in a specialised centre.

TimeForMe · 18/03/2009 18:25

And after the meeting with the guy who listed what she would need on the outside, a waterproof coat, thermal socks, oh, and a one man tent and ground sheet, I'm not surprised she kicked off! I wonder where exactly he expected she would pitch her one man tent, safely and without being moved on by the police.

QuantitativeMeasure · 18/03/2009 18:34

There is a girl who ties ligatures etc constantly where I am working on placement at the moment. Her bed is stripped, nothing in her room at all to be made into a potential ligature.

I was amazed to see Chloe surrounded by various blankets and sheets.

candyfluff · 18/03/2009 20:54

i did too wonder why they left the sheets and blankets in her room, felt so sad for her to not be loved or cared for by anyone
