I cant decide if i'm liking it or not.

Me either. Parts of it were good, others far to smutty/ott for me. Must be my age!

4andnotout · 10/03/2009 23:00

I liked the last sketch but tbh i think James Corden is just carrying Horne a bit.
I think i loved Gavin & Stacey so much nothing else will live up to it

it is SHIT. apart from last sketch.

MrsFogi · 10/03/2009 23:27

Rubbish, what a disappointment.

southeastastra · 11/03/2009 08:16

all clips i've seen are really bad, jc irks me so much, really not funny at all.

AitchTwoOh · 11/03/2009 09:24

i find jc immensely likeable, somehow. although i think it might be smithy, really.

shows how much ruth jones wrote of gav and stacey, doesn't it? maye she knew she would need a front man to sell it?

MessyPup · 11/03/2009 09:42

I cant believe that was the best they could write

poppy34 · 11/03/2009 09:47

I only heard part of it on radio (they were also talking abotu their new film lesbian vampire stalkers ) - seemed both the film and tv were in dubious taste and worse still unfunny. someone described them as the new hale and pace....

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 11/03/2009 22:10

just watched the first episode that we recorded - absolute shite. Didn't even raise an inkling of a smile from dh and I. Totally agree, the boys are nothing without the wit and wisdom of Ruth Jones

AitchTwoOh · 11/03/2009 22:31

it's on again now on bbc3. let's drum up some more haters.

traceybath · 11/03/2009 22:33

started watching it on iplayer - lasted 6 mins before stopping at just thought it was dull and juvenile.

I do suspect though that i am not their target audience.

HelpwithNameNeeded · 11/03/2009 22:37

DH and I really like JC and mat horne but this was dull

Tinker · 11/03/2009 22:40

JC is just not as funny as he thinks he is, is he? Not watched this but can still judge it.

Molesworth · 11/03/2009 22:45

I couldn't bear to watch this after seeing them present the Brit awards. Cringeworthy. And I agree that JC thinks he's funnier than he really is.

Ernestina · 11/03/2009 22:58

Mostly unfunny but the "I'm gonna come" one made me grimace in recognition

4andnotout · 12/03/2009 08:16

I actually liked them at the brit awards But im hoping that they might have some funnier material in the next episode.

Saw this last night. I didn't laugh once. The 'fat' joke wore out after the first 10 000 times

badgermonkey · 12/03/2009 09:02

It was grim, really. We laughed once, I think. DH and I are convinced, on the back of this, that we're in with a realistic shot of being commissioned for a BBC3 show ourselves.

kslatts · 12/03/2009 09:02

DH and I were really looking forward to this as we love Gavin and Stacy, but we were both hugely disppointed.

DarrellRivers · 12/03/2009 09:09

We only watched 10mins, it was dreadful.
I said to DH, that obviously Ruth Jones was the talent on the writing front.

Galava · 12/03/2009 09:12

Disappointing.

Not sure I'll be watching the next one

and definitely wont be watching the vampire film what dross.

fatjac · 12/03/2009 10:39

I was realy dissapointed too. Couldn't believe how amaturish it was. The first 5 mins when thet were in the studio were cringeworthy
