I love it

JanH · 15/04/2005 19:32

Which one was it?

RTKangaMummy · 15/04/2005 19:33

Yes

Totally fab

RTKangaMummy · 15/04/2005 19:33

my last posh frock

JanH · 15/04/2005 19:34

That would be Barbara's then - it's not the one where Margot doesn't get the joke, is it?

RTKangaMummy · 15/04/2005 19:36

no B dress gets torn and then they have a woman round for dinner and T just keeps staring at her in sexy dress

B gets upset

then T buys her new dress

JanH · 15/04/2005 19:38

Bum, can't really remember that one.

I love Barbara. She is so little and funny. (I am large and unfunny, rather like Margot in fact but without the accent, I used to want to be Barbara!)

roisin · 15/04/2005 19:40

I remember as a child viewing Margot as a role model ...???? Maybe cos she was so unlike my mum!

Enid · 15/04/2005 19:40

the posh frock one is the best

MistressMary · 15/04/2005 19:42

I feel like Barbara some of the time.

Fave Margot line " Well that's the last time I shall play the tart for you, Jerry!"

lou33 · 15/04/2005 19:42

And "I'm the silent Majority"!

RTKangaMummy · 15/04/2005 19:47

Tonight was the classic with the car in garage and she takes phone fromn Jerry and says there was a time when a time promised was a time honered etc etc and all the time J is trying to say that he just phoned them on the off chance but she is in full flow and tells him to be quiet

I know I am not word perfect but think it is funny

Richard Briers was on GMTV today saying it is 25 or 30 years this year

Thomcat · 15/04/2005 20:06

30 years old, blimey, it still works just as well, like 'Only Fools & Horses'.

Wonderful writing, comedy that makes your cry, or gives you a lump in the throat anyway.
