ER - who needs spoilers when Channel 4 do a bloody good job of ruining storylines themselves?! (*POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING BUT I'LL TRY NOT TO*)

Have been watching new series of ER on More4 (but haven't watched last night's yet). It's taken up to now for me to start piecing together the story of the new chief (Angela Bassett's character) and I was getting to the point where I thought I might know what her problem is...

and then whilst watching Ch4, they run a trailer for More4 advertising ER and Brothers and Sisters (the one with the Elvis "Glory Glory" soundtrack)... and they reveal the reason in the first bloody 10 seconds!!!! What a bunch of fecking muppets they must be who put the trailers together

Probably because all the story of the new chief is detailed in Thursday's episode.Once its been seen I guess they don't worry anymore about their Trailers.

Sorry but I thought is was perfectly plain in the first episode what her problem was - when we saw that photo whilst she was sitting alone at home? Take your tissues for this week's episode though!

I'm obviously a bit thick, Sawyer! Just thought she was grumpy. Took me at least 3 episodes before I started putting 2 and 2 together.

Pretty sure the trailers were run before Thursday night though.

Think she's been having Flashbacks etc. throughout.

Nice to see all the "old faces" in Thursday Nights episode though.

must say I am enjoying this series far more now abby's gone, despite greg's demise

i prefer not to watch Angela Basset so have stopped watching the show! do you reckon I should give it another go???

He was in that explosion when the ambulance blew up after the last series. He seemd ok to start with but eventually had a clot which killed him. Twas very very sad. Keep having flashbacks at when he realised things were very serious and the tears were rolling down his cheeks and Archie was desperately trying to save him.

Also gut-wrenching when they wheeled him up to the OR for the organ donation when he had died
