Apart from the complete RANDOMNESS of the plot, my nearly 1yr old DD absolutely hated tonight's episode of ITNG. Considering it's pretty odd on most days, I was just interested to see her hate this particular aspect.

Not really important, just wanted to hear your thoughts...

dd shreiks and hides if the story involves the pinky-ponk, she is scared it will get tuck up a tree OR BUMP INTOO SOMETHING (WHICH IS FAIRLY INEVITABLE) if im not about he either hides and watches or turn it off.

She watched it happily when younger, o perhaps its developmental some how understanding consequences.......she alo is scared of the number taker

That's DD's (13 months nearly) favourite bit. And the bit were they all dance under the gazebo. It's all pretty random though. Like why would the Pontipines carry their entire dining table to the Ninky Nonk to have tea when they know full well it'll end up everywhere. And they only have trifle and cake for tea.

Another traumatised ITNG watcher here - my 23 month old DD went to bed saying 'starfish, scared' over and over (starfish because she had misheard moustache). I think it was the funny whistling noises as it flew around that triggered it for her, we had to turn it off in the end.

She also freaked at the one where the Pinky Ponk was going over and under things and all the characters were sliding up and down the floor.

It was on again last night - and my bedtime routine was ruined.... trying to bath twin dds2 (5mths) while leaving dd1 (2 last week) on the sofa, which worked great the last two nights, and was utterly !"$£&ed up by Mr Pontipine's moustache. She completely freaked out and wouldn't leave my side for the next hour. To be honest I thought it was pretty scary too! How is that supposed to be pre-bed soothing?!

Botbot · 14/05/2009 13:10

My dd hates the Pinky Ponk too - she shouts 'GOING TO PONK A TREE!' and runs off. Like Lionstar's dd, it's the characters sliding down the floor that she doesn't like. And she really hates the Olly-Bolly-Dob-Dob flower - she's got the Night Garden CD and I have to skip that track.

I'd be more concerned at their propensity to lose several of their children on a daily basis. Why aren't the Wottingers reporting them to Social Services?

HensMum · 14/05/2009 13:17

Another Pinky Ponk hater here. I think it's when it crashes and everyone falls down that particularly bothers DS.
The only bit of ITNG he's actually likes anymore is the dancing.

tots2ten · 14/05/2009 13:22

its because the wottingers are hiding from social services

DD3 (2yrs) doesnt like the tittifers. she does enjoy the pinky ponk bumping into things
