They were going in close for a snog, got interrupted, then Ray said that he was in a good place now, and so was she, and maybe it was time to go. After some feeble response from Neila, he went. Silly, silly cow.

I yelled "RAY!!!!!!!!!" and bounced round the room. Is it worrying I recognised his shoulders/stance with the mask?

No more worrying than me lying thinking about what happened whilst feeding DD3 through the night.

I just can't get into this series, theres no one I really like, Sam, Morris, that new head woman, Gates, just cannot warm to them.

Never liked Neela, she's so miserable cannot understand why every man is chasing after her?

What happened to miserable Abby? She was there for Pratt's funeral then left, I think I missed an episode?

Theone after the funeral she didn't bother to mention properly that she was leaving, then sodded off at the end of the shift to live somewhere else.

I would be pretty pissed off if I thought I was her friend and she didn't think me worthy to know until the day she was leaving that she was moving city.

I feel like this is just pulling all the random loose strings together and because of that it is going to be a crappy series.

I really can't stand the Dr Ray character. Thank goodness he seems to have gone again. Please no more surprise visits.

Agree there is no-one left I am bothered about in the least, especially Gates and his annoying daughter. Why did they get rid of Abby and Pratt so quickly?

Just caught up on my Sky+. Oh heaven in a man! Ray is just the type of bloke I go for. Phwoar

As to people left I care about in the series - Frank. How can you not care about Frank? He's fab, and they seemed to have changed him from being completly hard to having a soft side without it being mushy

Mind you I still like Neela, and the other surgeon guy she works with. The one that got fired/quit and came back.

Oh yes, Lucian. And I've always liked Neela, though I thought she was an eejit for going for Gates when Ray was about.

It gets better, the new characters get to be pretty interesting.

Morris gets an even better part as the series goes on.

I think they will end up at the end with the audience caring about the new characters too.

ER has alwys been great at their character development, with perhaps the exception of Sam who is still as annoying and dull as she always has been.
