I've had a good giggle watching it, esp the weather girl Gale Force getting hit by a hail stones the size of ping pong balls..and the odd job man who sellotapes everything and the king to name a few....everything really it's fun but nor sure if the under 2's can appreciate the humour my 2 year old ignored it but I know my 3 year old would have laughed Justin is a genius!

i hate justin

VersdeSociete · 28/01/2009 14:43

Eh, me too. What is it about him? Is it the mime? Is it the way he looks?

samsonara · 28/01/2009 14:47

Love him. He is doing a fantastic job , very few actors could fit into his silly roles and carry them off well plus all the something special programs and the signing are great. I reckon he is a key to cbeebies success.

Ah, well have to accept am not target audience. And the signing is good stuff. But his singing is awful...

roomforthree · 28/01/2009 14:53

It's Little Britain for toddlers!

belgo · 28/01/2009 14:55

when is it on? on BBC2?

JackBauer · 28/01/2009 15:21

I thought it was rubbish. And DD1 was not impressed.
Why is Justin doing that?
Why is he speaking funny (his dodgy Oz accent did not impress her)?
WHy is he wearing silly hair and a dress? (weathergirl person)
She is not fooled by 'clever' costumes, it's still obvisouly him!
At least it was a pilot (according to prog info) so hopefully they wont do it again!

snowleopard · 28/01/2009 15:24

When's it on? What's it called? It sounds like something DS would like a lot.

I do laugh at the way Justin always looks exactly the same whatever he's dressed as. But I do love him.

JackBauer · 28/01/2009 15:31

It was on this morning on cbeebies about 11ish. I think it was called Gigglesbox or something like that.

I think hes fab in something special and tikke, but this really wasn't funny, was a bad sketch show for toddlers...

JackBauer · 28/01/2009 15:32

Here you go
But it's 15 minutes of your life you wont get back.

You have been warned.

snowleopard · 28/01/2009 15:39

Thanks Jack... I've managed to tear myself away after 3 minutes. But it is definitely DS's cup of tea.

MrsTittleMouse · 28/01/2009 15:42

It was awful. And very poor taste to have a Steve Irwin spoof I thought.

Justin needs to be reined in I reckon. He's good in Something Special, but obviously will go over the top given any freedom.

NickiSue · 28/01/2009 15:42

My ds thinks its great - his morning call at the moment is "Mr Tuuuuuummmble!" (Humph!). It's definitely better than some of the crap stuff they have on cbeebies at the moment

samsonara · 28/01/2009 16:03

I don't think that character's meant to be anything to do with Steve Irwin, MrsTittleMouse, more an excuse for a outdoorsy explorer type who is hopeless at spotting any wildlife. It brings in the potential get people dressed as pandas and such like which in itself produce laughs from young children.

Is it just a pilot? I hope it stays. There isn't anything else comedy sketch like for preschoolers.

lizandlulu · 28/01/2009 16:18

i didnt like it and neither did 3 year old dd, it scared her a bit! and asked what 'that' was when he was the lady

JackBauer · 28/01/2009 16:19

I don't think sketch shows work for preschoolers though, dd was bemused and was trying to link it all up as she didn't realie it was separate people/sketchs, to her it was all justin telling one story!.

And teh cockney accent was dire just awful!

And I think it is a steve irwin thing, why would you have an australian wildlife person in a safari suit if not, everyone would immediately think of irwin.

MollieO · 28/01/2009 22:42

I lasted 45 seconds! How awful. Agree that the wildlife presenter is definitely meant to be Steve Irwin. Couldn't watch the rest. I like the stuff that Justin does in Something Special but not this.

llareggub · 28/01/2009 22:48

DS loved it, but then he loves Justin. He says he loves Mr Tumble more, but then he hasn't worked out that they are the same person.

I thought it was supposed to be Steve Urwin, too.

MintChocAddict · 29/01/2009 00:27

DS shouted 'Mr Tummmmmmble' at every character.
I didn't make the Steve Irwin link TBH.

astragirl · 02/02/2009 20:22

1 year old ds loves Justin and squeals with delight when ask him if he watches Justin . We don't like his new programme though, Higgledy House and Something Special are great
