For the past few weeks I've seen a fair number of progs falling into 3 categories:

recession, people falling into debt, credit crunch effects
tv chefs vs supermarkets (Jamie, Hugh, Gordon, Heston etc)
Body shape, diet & eating habits (Gok, supersize v superskinny)

5-10 years ago ot was all property & DIY progs (Changing Rooms, DIY SOS, Sarah Beany, Kirstie&Phil, Kevin McCloud)

Have we gone all obsessed with money, food and health?

I tend to flick until I see something which grabs me otherwise I seek out something on cable.

Agree or disagree MNs?

Yup
Lazy, Lazy, Lazy TV.

Its cheaper and easier just to copy each other, just waiting for CSI Ambridge.

But i did love the slew of extreme weather shows, my secret vice.
