Just ordered season 1, as a friend says it's great.

I have loved in the past:

Party of 5
Dawsons Creek
The OC

Am I going to like Gilmore girls??

It is a little dated, especially the first series, but I LOVE it ... have watched all of them on tv. I am quite sad though!

LivingLaVidaLurker2 · 24/01/2009 19:12

My favourite programme. Love it. E4 have just shown all seven seasons (and have just started showing them again, I believe) and I watched every single one!

squeaver · 24/01/2009 19:13

yes.

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 27/01/2009 10:11

I love it. You will soooo like it.

Tortington · 27/01/2009 10:22

yes, i have only seen a couple of them, but i like those series too, andi liked it

hockeypuck · 27/01/2009 10:24

I adore the Gilmore Girls - I cried my eyes out at the last one (before they started showing them all again). Script is generally good and it's a lot less depressing than Dawson's Creek. If you loved Party of 5 etc you'll love it.

Did you also like My so called Life - a few years ago with a young Claire Danes and Jared Leto? I remember loving that and I'm very temted by the box set!

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 27/01/2009 10:27

No spoilers please! I'm just coming to the end of series 6.

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 27/01/2009 10:27

Oh, and I heart Logan.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 27/01/2009 10:29

oh yes.
and watching it from the beginning...

i heart luke.
(and oh yes that logan is too cute, i want to do nasty things to him....)

hockeypuck · 27/01/2009 10:32

I'm a Dean woman myself - that winning smile and floppy hair - looks like my teenage crushes! -I could totally defile him!!

Or Luke come to think of it - I could work with those backwards baseball caps.

Or Logan

or the Chad Michael Murray character in the first series - yes - he'd do as well!

Face it Gilmore girls is full of totty!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 27/01/2009 10:34

never did like christopher though.

hockeypuck · 27/01/2009 10:38

I agree purple monkey - I could see he had his charms and understood his child-like teenage relationhsip with Lauralye but he never worked his magic on me (I bet he's gutted by that!)

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 27/01/2009 10:40

Really? I quite like Christopher, just a bit of a wet character. Luke is very, erm, manly, but those baseball caps drive me insane, as does his bald patch when he isn't wearing it. I think he'd look good with a shaved head, myself.

No, Logan for me. I reckon he's filthy.

dietstartstomorrow · 27/01/2009 18:59

Got it today, and watched 2 episodes when the kids were at school , and planning on a full on Gilmore Girls night tonight.

Series 2 starts tommorrow on E4, so am going to start taping them all so I don't have to buy anymore. DH will be furious if I clog up the harddrive with too many episodes!

Never watch 'my so called life', must be the one show I totally missed!

I agree MrsJoeMcIntyre ... I heart Logan too ... there is something sooooo yum about him!

dietstartstomorrow · 15/02/2009 09:28

I am soooo into this now - love it. Plus have a whole 5 seasons to get through

I've only just gone digital and am disappointed to discover that I've missed episodes 1-11 of Gilmore Girls season 4. If anyone can give me these missed episodes on DVD I could lend you any of my original discs from seasons 1-3 (I'm even willing to sell them) or do a swap.

DuffyFluckling · 14/04/2009 10:46

It is utter tripe.

But so are the other things you listed, so you will love it .
