I only really got into Spooks on 2007, with RPJ and Hermione. Thought I'd miss RPJ, but was rather taken with Lucas North in last series .

Anyway was in Zavvi the day before it closed down and managed to get the box sets of series 1 - 6 for a song. We have been watching 2 episodes a night, dh loves it too, a great way to get through January!

Must say that whoever does the casting has quite a knack for choosing a handsome leading man - I never really paid much attention to Matthew MacFedyen, but he really is rather dashing in that very British way! I'm half way through series 2, and am beginning to worry about Tom's fate.

Also noticed that they have recycled Tom's back overcoat, the only outer garment he owns by the looks of things, by handing it on to Lucas in the last series. It looks pretty good on him too. Now thinking about getting one for dh

Also wanted to thank whoever it was on MN who alerted me to the deep fat fryer incident in series one. As soon as I saw the bubbling oil, I ran into the kitchen until it was safe to come back. I know that would have given me nightmares!

I looked in Zavvi but they only had series6 so I didn't bother. Lucky you to have all of those hours of Spooks to watch. I wanted to see the Matthew McFadden episodes becuase I fell in love with his wonderfully gentle voice in Little Dorrit, but would be worried about his fate too...have fun watching.

I found the mum and child locked in episode (you'll know what I mean without giving too much away) far worse than the deep fat fryer

God, yes bronze that one was awful, had to watch the next episode straight away to see what happened.

I found that whole storyline a bit odd though. How could you tell a 5 year old you are a spy and then not expect them to tell their friends? Wouldn't happen in my family!
