I've always really liked Ross.
Does anyone get the impression Tom Cruise would be a nightmare to live with? I have visions of being a scary perfectionist.

not a hair out of place on that head!!!

He is very nice to look at, but TC isn't exactly a sparkling conversationalist, is he? I'd rather have spent more time listening to Stephen Fry.

weetimerousdizzybeastie · 23/01/2009 23:29

I think he is very aware of everything that comes out of his mouth

its very much Tom Cruise the product where as you feel that the rest are all on there for a wee chat and a giggle

Is he ripping the shite out ofhim?

Rather dull sucky up kind of interview IMO,

weetimerousdizzybeastie · 23/01/2009 23:30

twinset he's reined it in a bit I think, I thought we were going to get somewhere when he slagged him off about the couch incident

destined for politics when older? I think so with a handshake/smile and crowd pleasing point

what more would his campaign manager need to get him voted in?!?

I haven't watched JR in a while and boycotted him last night.

Do you think that it was entirely co-incidental that he only had male guests and there were no women for him to perve over?

Tillyscoutsmum · 24/01/2009 10:20

TC interview was a bit meh.

Loved Stephen Fry though - the man is genius. His comment about Jerry Maguire "Would you be so kind as to exhibit the money" was hilarious

I like JR as well and hope he isn't going to reign in his comments too much

izyboy · 24/01/2009 10:47

Didnt bother with the TC interview - not interested. However I think Ross came over ok last night, a bit sheepish but suitably, irreverent with his apology. I think he is clever, witty and sharp - just goes for the cheap laughs sometimes.

Welcome back Jonothan. What do they want - Friday Night with Ben Fogle?

Lemontart · 24/01/2009 11:33

Was not that impressed with JR over the previous issue but he has clearly had time to think through how best to play the apology bit at start of the show. It thought it was well balanced and fairly genuine - with a little bit of naughty humour in a few following jokes.

Stephen Fry is lovely - switched off when TC came on though, just too dull and PC to be interesting.

vjg13 · 24/01/2009 12:30

I think JR is a real wanker and well past his sell by date. There must be loads of up coming talent who could do this show. Stephen Fry is brilliant, always interesting and Tom Cruise was very guarded as expected. He is a good actor which people like to forget beacuse he's a bit strange!

Cammelia · 24/01/2009 12:39

JR has been past his sell-by date for a few years imo

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 25/01/2009 17:41

I switched off before TC came on - tired and bored, but then I've never liked JR, I only watched because I adore Stephen Fry. But today's papers say that it was heavily edited as a lot of it couldn't be shown, which just indicates that JR has learnt nothing. He really does need to grow up. He's older than Obama for heaven sake!

And what's wrong with Ben Fogle, Fossilsister? I'd love to spend Friday night with him.
