Sky box auto-standby, can it be disabled?

Wonder if any of you telly addicts can help me with this. My mum refuses to upgrade to sky+ and is having a problem whereby she can't set her video to record anything that's on during the night as the sky box goes onto standby after 2 hours without a button-press. Does anyone know if theres an option somewhere to disable this auto-standby?

it will still record in standby.

ah, it's not sky +... I have no idea, sorry.

Just done it, a lot of boxes seem to have recently defaulted to auto standby - it is under Services , Autostandby

don't worry, thanks for trying Waffle. I've googled it and found some things she can try, just waiting for her to call me back so I can talk her through them. In case anyone else needs to know apparently you press Services on the remote, then choose setup, and somewhere in there should be Auto Standby which you can then turn off.

mine wont record in standby. its been doing it for a couple of weeks now even during the day.
mightily annoyed when recording something that it will just switch off.

i have cancelled my sky now. cant be arsed with that.

glad i found this thread - thought it was my box misbehaving.
