Anyone watching the second episode? Hope we find out a bit more about what she is actually guilty of (I know murder but why/who etc).

DH is out again this week so hope it doesn't get quite as creepy as last episode!

Oh I thought this was great last week. Am taping it tonight, so I can watch minus the ads.

Cat - I am soooo a Larkrise kinds girl too

lottiejenkins · 19/01/2009 21:33

It frightened the bejesus out of me last week.......specially the stuff moving round the house!!

dmo · 19/01/2009 23:01

i loved it watched the 2nd part before

Pingping · 20/01/2009 10:20

Very good drama can't wait till the final part next week.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/01/2009 10:31

i actually think she didnt shot the policemen but it was her younger sister katy at 6 who did it, and that she took the for her

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/01/2009 10:31

blame

should say took the blame for her

Pingping · 20/01/2009 11:07

That would be a very good twist Blonde

staryeyed · 20/01/2009 11:35

I thought perhaps the policemen weren't so innocent and she shot them to protect herself/her sister.

redpanda · 20/01/2009 14:31

Yup Blonde - that's what I though last night too, but then thought how could a 6 year old handle a shot gun (which I'm sure it was from the flashbacks). We'll just have to wait until next week to get it all figured out!

dmo · 20/01/2009 16:36

all exciting stuff

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/01/2009 17:47

we will have to wait and see

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/01/2009 18:31

bumping to remind you last episode tonight

am i right and it was her sister, and she went to prison to protect her

or

am i completley wrong [grin[

dietstartstomorrow · 26/01/2009 21:01

Blondes - I think you are going to be right. See you in an hour

lottiejenkins · 26/01/2009 22:00

A few niggles..........would the family have been happy for the daughter to have ruths number? And would the guy have been killed just by that rather mild accident?

Oh and well done Blondes you were right!!!

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 26/01/2009 22:03

Not sure about the death thing but I think yes, they would be happy for Lucy to have Ruth's number. She saved their other daughter's life and also Lucy is over 18 so if she wants to have the number there was nothing they could do - the story was that Ruth couldn't instigate the contact.

Absolutely brilliant series though.

Pennies · 26/01/2009 22:03

That was excellent. I guessed that Lucy / katie killed the cops quite early on though.

Lottie - prob not entirely happy with her having Ruth's number but they were indebted to her after saving Emily.

Prob not killed by that but regardless it would either have been that or the police would have arrested him.

Suranne Jones is an excellent actress.

Pennies · 26/01/2009 22:05

The thing that niggled me was that Emily was only about 16 and if Ruth had served 15 years then surely he would have realised that Emily was too young to be Lucy? I'm guessing tho he was too fired up and stooopid to suss that out.

SilentTerror · 26/01/2009 22:17

Pennies,I thought that too!
Guessed it was sister in first episode, but Suranne Jones excellent, and found the end quite moving.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/01/2009 10:17

i was right

< smug look>

dh said that both policemen wouldnt have been killed by a single shot - one maybe, but not both

was good, and yes i did wonder how brother didnt reliese katy wasnt 16 and at school

hes male, so a twat

a good thriller i thought
