Masterchef - a question about previous winners please

DH and I both love this show but were sat here wondering tonight whats happened to previous winners? Anybody know?

they keep going on about winning the competition changing their lives forever but I can't remember anyone thats won in previous years and I don't think there's been a what heppened next programme has there?!?

yes wahaca is very nice i can report. and saint thomasina was in residence. she is tall and thin and a bit stern looking.

we are all rather stupefied at desks now, very generous portions.

I love masterchef, but I don't get the whole "this could be the opportunity to change my life" thing. If they want to become chefs so much then why don't they go to catering college?

The problem is IMO that nobody actually wants to work for what they want any more and expect it to be handed to them on a plate (scuse the pun ).

Yeah, I always wonder why they don't just go to catering college. Still, I'm glad they do go on masterchef so that I can enjoy watching them burn their chops etc etc.
