Total sap... tis the most rubbish film ever! Rich spoilt public school boys fretting because cold hearted daddy won't let them be in a play. Boo hoo!

I'm a hard hearted cow aren't i?

thumbwitch · 14/01/2009 01:20

yup.
now go away and don't piss over my soft-hearted sappery.

I had an ex bf who always cried watching dead poets society... but he did go to super posh public school and I think it reminded him of his good old school days, the fagging, the beatings, the bullying. Ah good old days ....

thumbwitch · 14/01/2009 01:23

can see why you're a bit anti it then - I just love the last bit where they all stand up to bullyboy headteacher tactics and support their eccentric fun teacher. but always cry. ah well.

Despite the fact I don't like Robin WIlliams (as an actor) I do love this film

HeadFairy · 14/01/2009 01:30

Never too late/early for a bit of culture

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 14/01/2009 21:53

thats a fab movie . I get all choked too at the end.

RiaParkinson · 14/01/2009 21:55

ladyofwaffle i agree

loathe williams normally but wow this film is good

last night i really noticed how ethan hawkes acting was outstanding

PavlovtheCat · 14/01/2009 21:57

Me too, I have seen it about 10 times, always cry. I do not think its a great film now that I am adult, but as a child it was very very poignant for some reason and I always remember that as an adult and the emotions I felt when I was younger, so I still cry!
