She's hilarious ! especially the the 'Tramampoline' sketch with the bag of flour.

There was one very dubious unfunny sketch which I am sure will make the news tomorrow with complaints of 'extremely bad taste'.

Shame really as dh & I have been howling with laughing at the rest of the prog.

which was the unfunny sketch?

I caught a bit of it last night and I too was howling (as was DH). Who was the singer meant to be with the posh singing voice but cockney speaking voice?

Jojo12 · 14/01/2009 10:07

Think the singer was Adele - the one that did 'Chasing Pavements' last year.

The mad woman who was asked to be godmother and then proceeded to put salt and pepper on the baby, shake it around and then put it in the microwave. DH and I sat with our mouths open !

In light of the Baby P case and other little children that have been in the news recently having been killed by parents etc. we thought it was a poor decision to air it.

I've just found this link

Ahh, I didn't see that one. Sounds a little ill-judged.

I was worried you were going to say the army recruitment one...

interesting link tillyboo

I did think the Queen sketch was hilarious - she had a really gruff rough accent and swore like a trooper

But the baby sketch was a silly, silly ill judged error and the BBC should never have allowed it to be aired.

I have been thinking and wondered if it was meant to shock with some kind of underlying message, that we choose people to be with our kids and you never know what people are really like? (But I am saying that having not seen it so don't know the context) But I agree that programme controllers don't seem to have a clue and something like that is NOT NEVER EVER entertainment.

I will watch her again though, as it didn't seem overly smutty or "grotesque" (I am not keen on green goo/bodily fluid type comedy)in the bits I saw.

And the Queen was funny.

oh god so am i the only one who thinks she's one of the worst "comics" on tv?
her appearance on buzzcocks was painfull
