Where the boy with the Hovis runs through the streets and through the years from the 40s to the present day.

I like it. It's very clever.

And I don't often like adverts.

Yeah me too. I actually sit and watch it. I don't watch adverts generally.

BitOfFun · 08/01/2009 21:55

I love it too.

I have to say though, I don't understand why he says "yeah?" at the end when his mum asks if that's him back home. He gives it a really odd emphasis, and I just think, hey, it was only one word, how could you get it wrong?

It might just be me though...

liahgen · 08/01/2009 21:55

yup

love it

LittleMissBliss · 08/01/2009 21:57

Me too! its been arround for a while, i was saying to dp tuther day how it must have cost loads to produce and air. Adverts that are annoying me at the mo are the badly dubed cleaning product/washing powder averts.

Goober · 08/01/2009 21:57

Yes I like it, well thought out etc.

BUT

Does it make you want to go and buy the stuff?

LittleMissBliss · 08/01/2009 21:59

I think the yeah is a private joke, as if to say yes but i've been runnig for 60 odd years!

LittleMissBliss · 08/01/2009 22:00

Though his voice is quite deep for a child/ early teen.

UnquietDad · 08/01/2009 22:02

My only (small) criticism is that they could have found something more iconic than just "fireworks" to represent the 90s. Yes, I know it's probably meant to be the Millennium, but a bit of Britpop wouldn't have gone amiss.

OP posts:
MeandEva · 08/01/2009 22:04

I think the fireworks are meant to represent the olymipcs

UnquietDad · 08/01/2009 22:04

Are they? I didn't get that.

OP posts:
liahgen · 08/01/2009 22:10

but the olympics are the 00's though?

lottiejenkins · 08/01/2009 22:12

Fireworks are for the millenium surely???

mazzystartled · 08/01/2009 22:31

it makes me well up, a bit, preposterously
esp as its filmed - i think -in liverpool, my hometown

BitOfFun · 08/01/2009 23:03

Me too!

hippipotami · 09/01/2009 08:17

The fireworks are defifnately the new millenium (otherwise the decades thing does not work does it?)
It makes me well up too, but at teh moment anything makes me well up...

hippipotami · 09/01/2009 08:18

defifnately
