Yes it is very sad.

Someone with such an amazing gift (I saw him score two brilliant goals against my team once). He really was a rare talent.

But sadly without the ability to handle the fame.

Did you see his son Poor lad.("I just worry about him 24/7")

NotanOtter · 05/01/2009 22:23

the son Mason is really heart wrenching

GivePeasAChance · 05/01/2009 22:37

the son Mason is the only one talking any sense.

The rest of them should take his advice and tell him to F off !

simpson · 05/01/2009 22:37

Is very sad

Feel very sorry for the younger son too. Has Paul hasn't been there for him.

notnowplease · 05/01/2009 22:38

He is like danny la rue.I've always thought his sexuality may be at the root of it all.The youngest son is the brains of that household He speaks the truth. The older boy is a fragile wreck Sheryl seems lovely and comes across as smart but damaged

simpson · 05/01/2009 22:38

As Paul hasn't been there for him Oops...

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 05/01/2009 22:41

the older boy is not gazza's bio son

the younger boy looks sooooooo much like him

I am watching it on sky plus, it is heartbreaking. Fascinating how the one child that does not want him there is his biological son.

Wonderstuff · 05/01/2009 23:04

So sad. Regan is the only person not damaged by him.

Wonderstuff · 05/01/2009 23:06

The therapist seems great.

Wonderstuff · 05/01/2009 23:14

I wonder if Mason knows how awful he was to Cheryl? When she was describing the abuse my blood ran cold. I'm so glad she walked away after so long.

NotanOtter · 05/01/2009 23:32

Mason needs to find love... sounds glib but true

i was that Mason and Bianca's fight was considered bad by Cheryl...

lovely children- all credit to Cheryl

Hobnobfanatic · 05/01/2009 23:46

What an incredible woman Cheryl is. I'm sure the kids will be fine with her strength and love to get them through - as long as the door to Paul stays shut.

southeastastra · 06/01/2009 11:26

it was so sad i was wondering if they made it as a last way of trying to get through to him

dietstartstomorrow · 06/01/2009 12:47

I found this really upsetting. The family are amazing.

I think the best medicine for Paul, would be to watch the programme himself.

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 06/01/2009 13:30

I actually burst into tears when Cheryl was crying and said "no-one has ever told me I don't have to help him any more...."

ginnny · 06/01/2009 13:35

It was heartbreaking. I was shouting at the screen "but you can't help him!!"
My dad was an alcoholic and it took me till my 30's to be as level headed as little Regan. He's a great kid and that's all credit to Cheryl.
It was nice at the end where Mason was getting on with his life and moving on.

tegan · 06/01/2009 13:44

Is this going to be repeated as i put it on sky + but dh deleted it when he came home from work at 2am.

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 06/01/2009 13:47

oh i missed it too - wonder if you can watch it on iplayer or something

tegan · 06/01/2009 13:49
