Having only just caught up with series 1 and 2 would anyone tell me what happened in the Christmas special?
(any info on the fishing trip would be much appreciated!)

They almost told you about the fishing trip but not quite.

Gavin got a job in Cardiff and it was basically about them telling his family about it.

Dave proposed to Ness and she said yes and then Smithy told her not to marry him (left open after that as I think there's going to be a new series some time).

And that's about it.

Actually not all that good really, as Xmas specials go.

I disagree! I loved it and laughed all the way through...it's on iplayer on the computer if you want to watch it!

Well, I laughed quite a lot too I suppose, but there wasn't much of a story really. It seemed more like a between series filler, rather than a 'special' iykwim.

I was disappointed too, but still enjoyed it.

I actually sat forward in an enthusiastic involvement way when they started with the fishing trip!!

And the Celebration sweetie for eveyone - wrapped, mind. Brilliant! It solved my present dilemma for next year.

Although it was left open ended, apparently they probably won't do another series as the writers have too much in the pipeline including making an American version.

I only just clocked on watching the christmas one that Archie from eastenders is in it haha oops!

Was fab. Loved Bryn and the Mint Baileys bit. Lots of specualtion in our house about the fishing trip!
