run the Wagner opera yesterday ?

Yes ! It was on Radio 4 this evening (DH listening not me).
Apparantly the lead could not perform the full opera due to illness - the 1st Act was recorded the day before or something. So rather than show the understudy for Acts 2 & 3 they decided to scrap the last bit. However the full opera will be shown at a later date (May i think)
