OhBling · 05/01/2009 13:55

Yes, all done. This is an excellent price. DP saw it at a similar price somewhere else and we thought about buying it.

thegrowlygus · 05/01/2009 13:55

Yep is has. And yep that is a bargain. Sadly we have series 1-3 already.

Yes. RIP.

I love the West Wing.

Almost wish I didn't have all the boxed sets and haven't seen them all so I could have the pleasure of watching it again. Also series 7 is so much like real life its not true(Obama presidential campaign except a hispanic rather than black candidate). Apparently one of the West Wing characters was based on Rahm Emmanual (Obama's now Chief of Staff)

Enjoy.

At least Mad Men is back in March...

flowerybeanbag · 05/01/2009 14:08

We are working our way through it at the moment, having bought the box set a while ago without having ever seen it on the telly.

Brilliant stuff, I am upset already as we are half way through series 4, so running out of discs!

i have just watched parts 1-3 of the very first series (last night). It was my first experience of it. Assoon as OzClarke has finfished doing his drinking programme on the tv i'm going to get into part 4. Quite liking it so far

Hassled · 06/01/2009 20:41

DH and I are so very sad that we have twice now worked our way through all seven series and then started again - not all at once, you understand; a couple of episodes a week. Still pretty sad, though .

I never knew about the Josh Lyman/Rahm Emanuel link. But I did know that the actor of Josh is married to the actress of Lois from Malcolm in the Middle!

Best character of any drama series ever is Toby Ziegler - dark and complicated.

llareggub · 06/01/2009 20:46

I've got the box set, and have just cried my way through the last episode. Back on series 1, episode 1 now!

I started watching it on More 4 in 2006 when I was on maternity leave with DS, when they started it from the beginning. I watched it every Sunday night on sky plus and was really excited in November when we got to series 6 or 7, only for More 4 to cancel it. So I had to buy the box set!

goblinvalley · 06/01/2009 21:11

We love it too

and although we have season 3 i just can't bring myself to watch it - we always go from season 2 to 4.

can't bear 'lockjaw'
