LOST season 4 - How many episodes?

Just wondered if this was cut short like most of the other shows, because of the writers strike.

I am trying to decide whether to buy it or rent it from Blockbuster.

Yes, definitely less due to the strike. We have watched 4 of the new one so far.....

Shame they don't sell the boxsets cheaper, as there are about 10 episodes less
