seeing the new year in with the telly on anyone?

We'll be watching Elton's New Year Party live from the O2 on ITV1, rather than Jools's Hootenanny BBC2 or the New Year live with Nick Knowles and Kate Silverton ( where you get to see the live firework display).(by the way, the Elton one is being repeated tommorrow at 10.25 am).

Haven't checked what's on yet but we watch the Edinburgh/Glasgow one usually.

DH and the ds's always watch Still Game and the like.

I'll be watching Elton too.

I can't decide what to watch yet, there seems quite a few hours to fill before any of those are on where there is naff all on to watch!

The BBC scotland Hogmany telly is usually quite entertaining IMO.

Ditto here. Edinburgh is a hop and a skip from here, and when I was a student and then living there I did the whole Hogmanay party thing. Now DC3 is ill, it's cold outside and I fancy a night of board games, then telly, then the bells and then bed.

Paulosgirl, I was just saying the exact same thing to someone else earlier about not fancying freezing my arse off down Princes street.

I don't even drink any more, so it will probably be cocoa in front of the telly in my jammies!

Exactly Maw! See when you're 20, freezing your arse off is immaterial because you're either a)snogging some bloke or b)drunk, and either way you don't notice the cold!
