while i appreciate john simm's, erm, talents as much as the next middle aged woman he's hideous in this. is that not surely the point?

No - I thought so at first, but he's grown on me. A kind of cross between the Man with No Name and Aragorn from Lord of the Rings.

Nope he is sex on legs in this - and I never rated him before too young and scrawny but John Simm has grown up. I am sure I heard somewhere (womens hour???!) that women do go for men with facial scars but only for short term sexual liaisons[leer emoticon]! I reckon that Angelica will see sense next week for sure.

Ooh - just saw a preview of the next episode, with the 2 of them kissing. So they do get together (but I'd bet he dies afterwards). Did you know that Edward Sexby was a real person (though probably not quite as depicted here).
