Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe - a MUST watch!

Love Screenwipe- but why is it hidden away on BBC4? Would urge anyone who hasn't seen it to watch, as it's absolutely hilarious. It provides a refreshing view of life that counteracts the Sun / Bratz / Heat Magazine / Jeremy Kyle version of 'culture' in modern Britain. It's on at 10pm, BBC4 (deserves at least BBC2, possibly in a slot next to QI).

[ Mind you, if this thread isn't the kiss of death for tonight's episode, I don't know what is. Will probably be biggest pile of pants and no one will believe me again!]

harpomarx · 25/11/2008 21:50

oh, read the thread you silly woman.

that was to myself.

Thanks for the reminder. I missed it last week, so got it on SkyPlus at some weird time during the week, but couldn't series link it. DH is away at the moment and wouldn't want to miss it either. Now I can catch the next in the series and link it too so we can both watch when he's back late this week. Thanks again.

nofunanymore · 25/11/2008 21:53

Sorry, it's half ten, DH has just informed me.

I love Charlie. And who saw Liza Tarbuck on it last week? Put on quite a bit of weight, I thought.

nofunanymore · 25/11/2008 22:02

Yes, thought that. She was brilliant on the Big Breakfast with Johnny Vaughan, but I haven't really seen her much since.

Yes her career is littered with bad choices, I think. She was huge when she was in that Linda Green thing, but no acting since. Hosting the odd Radio 2 show and crappy late night quizzes does not a career make.

Of course, she's a bitch according some MNers who have come across her in rl.

nofunanymore · 25/11/2008 22:57

Shame on Carol Vorderman. Wasn't she earning a squillion pounds a year doing Countdown at the time, too?

the advertising thing is so true don't like the poetry bloke though

nofunanymore · 27/11/2008 22:30

Thought poetry bloke was quite funny last week, but agree, was a low spot this week.

beanieb · 05/12/2008 08:31

I thought this week was interesting but not as great as hith others. Hopefully people watching it for the first time won't think this is what it's normally like!

bluebump · 05/12/2008 10:45

I keep forgetting it's on, grrrr.

ICanHazANewDoctah · 05/12/2008 12:54

Oh, I loved this week. at writing being like doing a poo.

bluebump · 05/12/2008 18:21

I've found it repeated tonight on BBC 4 so i'm setting the sky+ now.
