JJ Abrams new creation has been on Sky One for six or seven weeks now and I'm loving it.

Is anybody else watching? What do you all think?

i watch it, but not sure im hooked

all the episdoes are a bit strange

and the 1st epidsode still puzzles me - is her partner dead?

eso when he turned up in her kitchen the other week, and called her at the motel

spottyshoes · 22/11/2008 17:07

Yep us too. It's really good, although I'm getting a tad bored of how Walter seems to have worked on every type of experiment going. Very co-incidental - although I suppose there wouldn't be much of an episode if he hadn't

snigger · 22/11/2008 17:08

Oh, definitely hooked. Mad show, but strangely addictive, I heard it's been picked up by Fox for the rest of the season.

spottyshoes · 22/11/2008 17:09

Oh good - I got quite into Threshold but it wasn't picked up and cut off not answering anything

spottyshoes · 22/11/2008 17:10

I also quite heart Pacey in it too! Now he's all old and stubbly

NosfeRaahhTu · 22/11/2008 17:21

I like it- but Dh groans a lot at all the coincidences etc- I love Walter, he's very funny. Loathe the female lead- she has a proper miserable face, yet an endless stream of men after her!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2008 17:40

and dont forget that walter was in a mental institution for the last 20years BUT manages to do all the exsperiments

annaje · 22/11/2008 17:55

Pacey sure looks hot these days - it's enough to keep me watching. Honestly, it's a bit of an x files rip off to me!

Raalix · 22/11/2008 20:06

It's the x-files with a shot of adrenaline!

Sure, there are a lot of coincidences, but I'm sure these are just first season glitches. Like most TV shows, the first season needs a lot of work to get it right.

Walter was in a mental institution / prison because of all the experiments he did. While he was imprisoned, someone else took up his work and developed it further - that's why Walter was recruited into the team in the first place.

As for the John Scott issue - he died in episode one but was revived by Nina Sharp and Massive Dynamic. The reason for this is still unclear.

Fringe certainly has it's flaws - but I really enjoy it for what it is.

I thought John was still dead - Megamoney corp place were keeping him 'on ice' so to speak and questioning him via the brain2brain thing that you can apparently do for so many days after they die He was appearing to female lead as a figment of her imagination coz they did the brain2brain thingy when she went in the flotation tank.

That is my technical analysis

snigger · 22/11/2008 21:28

I think he's appearing to her because during the brain-to-brain salt-bathing she received part of his 'consciousness', which means he is in existence, seen only by her, and she can access his memories etc subject to his wish.

God, when you type it like that, you wonder why you watch it....

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2008 23:20

so john isnt dead?

TwoIfBySea · 23/11/2008 14:15

John's body is with that dodgy corporation. So whether or not they have managed to keep him alive, or to revive him, will be no doubt for a later episode.

It is quite good in a nonsense kind of way. And is Pacey Walter's son Peter? Because if he is then I agree about the yum factor.
