he is allegedly a pompous arse wipe

mrsmaidamess · 03/11/2008 22:31

I know he knows his stuff about nature but he makes me cringe. Always talking over people. Gah!!

PeaMcLean · 03/11/2008 22:32

Saw him once on Buzzcocks. Can well imagine him having a hissy fit. Idiot.

gigglewitch · 03/11/2008 22:33

roffle

tuesdayafternoon · 03/11/2008 22:34

I have never heard a good word about him from anybody who's worked with him.

SlartyBartFast · 03/11/2008 22:37

no he is quite rude to his co-presenter

SlartyBartFast · 03/11/2008 22:38

He was quite patronising to Jelly from Story Makers on Cbeebies Springwatch too (jumps on bandwagon).

Taking everything Cat64 says into consideration...he still comes across as rude.

SlartyBartFast · 03/11/2008 22:43

better open that link now

UpJacobscreek · 03/11/2008 22:44

He does come across as rude but the interviewer was equally as rude IMO .

SlartyBartFast · 03/11/2008 22:49

actually, on that link the presenter was rude, kept sighing, really impatient and i thought bill oddie was ok

HuwEdwards · 03/11/2008 22:52

I can't stand BO . I think he is resolutely stuck up his own jacksie. An arrogant git.

BlackEyedDog · 03/11/2008 22:53

Oi. I love Bill Oddie leave him alone!

wintera · 03/11/2008 22:58

I've seen him be a bit rude and impatient a few times. The one I most remember was when he was championing Wind in the Willows on The big read a few years back. He started slagging off The lord of the rings on the final show saying everyone had stupid names in it like Bilbo, Frodo etc.. And the host Clive Anderson said "As opposed to talking rats and moles Bill" or something like that. He was not happy!

He really is a tedious, self-important old tosser. I bet there were red squirrels jumping into the water to get away from Brownsea Island when they realised BO was coming.

mabanana · 03/11/2008 23:05

I thought he had Aspergers when I saw that. Seriously.

Heated · 03/11/2008 23:07

I used to so love the Goodies.

unknownrebelbang · 03/11/2008 23:12

What unfortunate initials the man has.

NotanOtter · 03/11/2008 23:12

i think he has a god complex

ie he thinks he is one

ghastly little man

fallingstandards · 04/11/2008 22:01

What a rude man. I cannot bear him. I switch off the tv when he comes on.

SlartyBartFast · 04/11/2008 22:52

firstly he is a comedian after all, remember the Goodies? and comedians are generlaly strange arent they?

DrippingLizzie · 04/11/2008 23:04

I saw him on The Wright Stuff last week and he was toe-curlingly, car-crashingly awful. Grumpy, belligerent and unnecessarily rude to Matthew Wright and Lowri Turner - God knows how she managed to keep her mouth shut but you could tell by her face how shocked she was. I could only stomach about twenty minutes of his weird behaviour before I had to switch off. Truly think he has some kind of personality disorder.

Never really had any views either way about Mr Odious but, having seen that and read these posts, he is now zoomed straight in at number one in my Top Ten TV Arseholes list.

MadamAnt · 04/11/2008 23:07

I saw him in the street when I was a teenager, and asked one of his entourage for an autograph. He obliged very grudgingly.
