frasersmummy · 02/11/2008 21:18

I had to go settle ds .. how did clarkson maange to set fire to his lorry

Hulababy · 02/11/2008 21:21

Really enjoy Top Gear these days. DD is disappointed it is on an hour later though - she has to miss it now for bed. Wonder when repeats are.

Lucycat · 02/11/2008 21:43

he had bales of hay and an electric heater in the back of his artic!

i loved the term 'lorryists'

Squitten · 03/11/2008 16:33

That brick wall stunt was ace! I know squat about cars but I love Top Gear

zzzzSLEPPWONTCOMEzzzz · 03/11/2008 16:35

Same as Squitten!

sockmonkey · 03/11/2008 16:57

Loved the "Lorryists" thing too. Very very funny. Richard looked genuinely surprised that there was no car in his trailer... or before that when he confidently drove off and trailer just stayed put. LOL

Marne · 03/11/2008 17:00

lol, loved it.

Surely he should have noticed that the car fell out the lorry?

WhizzzBangWhizzzOOOooAhhhh · 03/11/2008 21:04

It's funny but I think it goes a bit far sometimes. Just what was driving a lorry into a brick wall supposed to prove??
I find the 'silly' stuff entertaining but the downright dangerous and pointless stunts detract from the programme.

shopaholicDIVA · 03/11/2008 21:13

anyoen know when this repeat? dh is away,i missed it too

frasersmummy · 03/11/2008 21:16

I think its repeating on a Wed night ..not sure what time

Its on bbc iplayer at the mo

ellceeell · 03/11/2008 21:29

Nearly 200 viewers complained after Clarkson said that lorry drivers "change gear, check mirror, murder a prostitute, change gear".

The BBC condemned the comments but said the presenter did not intend to cause offence.

wintera · 03/11/2008 21:52

Agree WhizzBang . . I really love Top Gear but it all got on my nerves a bit last night. It was too ridiculous for words. When he drove through the wall it looked like he really injured himself and I was actually thinking "Well good! Glad it hurt, you daft arse!" Normally I am really cheering them on.

I noticed a quote from him in one of today's papers that said "Everyone should get the chance to do this so they would know how much it hurts to have a crash" or something like that. Sorry, but I don't need to do that Jeremy. I already had a pretty good idea that being in a crash would friggin hurt!!

Squitten · 03/11/2008 22:35

Jeremy Clarkson... offend someone....?

Never.....

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 03/11/2008 22:40

I lurvue Top Gear! I found it was back when flicking through the telly and recorded it wondering if it were a repeat, but no, brand new, was v excited. Loved Richard's face when the car wasn't there in the lorry

sunnygirl1412 · 04/11/2008 12:29

I love Top Gear - and fancy Jeremy Clarkson to bits - but my sky/aerial/sky+ box played up and the recording was absolutely awful - skipped huge parts of the show, and most of the rest was unwatchable - sob sob.

I'm going to go and see if it's on BBC iplayer - and if not I'll have to hope and pray that sky behaves itself when the show is repeated later on in the week.

Squitten · 04/11/2008 17:05

FANCY Jeremy Clarkson...? I have a question - how do you manage to type with such questionable eyesight?

Surely The Hamster is the eye candy?? He's yummy

sunnygirl1412 · 04/11/2008 17:43

Well - if you fancy Richard and I fancy Jeremy, then we can share nicely - can't we!! And keep James May to do the DIY, perhaps!

sunnygirl.

Squitten · 04/11/2008 18:24

Heehee - indeed! Poor James...!

Pixel · 04/11/2008 20:18

Ahh, I like James too, let's not leave him out .
If it's eye-candy you're after, have you seen the cover of this week's Radio Times?. The Hamster and Gene Hunt in one picture, lovely .

LIZS · 05/11/2008 19:45

I know the US election is hugely significant but are anyone else's kids peed off at the substitution of the TG repeat ? ds went to bed halfway through on Sunday night and had expected to catch up today . Is it on iplayer ?
