Just watched the results show. What were the judges thinking saving Daniel?

I think that the judges had to go with the last performance and much as I wanted Daniel to go, his performance was better than Scott's,
Glad it didn't go to deadlock again

I love Alexandra, Diana and Austin. Also like JLS but they weren't so good tonight.

Daniel will have to have some sort of transformation to be able to do disco and stay next week.

I agree that they did the right thing saving Daniel last night. If they go on the last performance i thought Scott's was really poor, as though he'd already lost, and Daniel made me cry.

I know he only got in because his wife died and that you could say that he got through because of that but that performance was amazing, far better than any he's done in the competition.

Also, i know they keep calling it a singing competition but it should be about the personality too, some of the most successful popstars do not have the best voices but they know how to perform :cough: Madonna :cough:!

It's X Factor for a reason - they need a bit of both! Scott didn't have that sparkle and charisma and had an alright voice. Daniel has a little sparkle (and the sob story of course...) but only has a pub singer voice.

I was watching the results last night with DH (he was not happy about it ) and as soon as I saw it was Scott and Daniel, I said I thought Daniel would be going.
When it got to the judges votes, I really really thought that Louis was going to put it to the public vote and vote to send Daniel home.
I love Louis though. When he cried, ah bless him!
As the judges vote on the second songs, I do feel Daniel's was a better performance, after the first opening lines which were a bit shaky. Scott murdered his song.
I think next week Daniel will go.
My favs are : JLS, Diana, Alexandra and Austin.
I didn't really like Scott; he just struck me as a moody teenager tbh, and I think he was badly handled by Simon, his song choices had been awful!

The final performances were irrelevant imvho, Louis just took the opportunity to oust one of Simon's three.

I would not have picked Daniel for the final three, nor would I have picked Scott. There were better people in the six they had to choose from.
I think that it will be one of the girls who will win. Though I'd really like it to be JSL

SOOOO pleased Scot went. Don't think I could stand his dopey face for another week and wasn't he a sulky puss when he didn't go through- sit him on the naughty step for being a bad loser.

They were so miming that Heroes song. It was far too polished and in tune for them to have performed it live and some of them are not great at lip sincing.(sp)

Thought the girls were all quite strong tonight but Diana really annoys me with her little girl lost (her shoes) thing(We call her Fairy Cakes.)

Only ever seen part of one show of XFactor, it was the one where the young guys were with Sinitta and Simon in Barbados or somewhere and they kept bloody crying!!

ANYWAY, remembered Scott from that show, he was definitely a cry-er. So, saw the last 5 mins of last night's show and couldn't believe Scott's reaction at being chucked off. Obviously one would be upset, but he was like a sulky, moody, bad tempered teenager (which I presume he is) who didn't get what he wanted. Ridiculous reaction. ALSO, he was saying to Simon right at the end 'I'm sorry I let you down'??!@!! Huh? Somehow I got the impression he was feeling most sorry for himself and think that comment to Simon was also self pitying and untrue.

Wow. Why do I feel so strongly about this?? Don't even watch the show!! I'm a Strictly person
