Bagpuss is indeed sacred - hopefully they will realise that!

Apropos of nothing in particular, Cali, I was told today that American Thomas the Tank Engine has Alec Baldwin narrating it - is this true? Although my American friend has explained to her DDs that Ringo Starr is the only real T the T!(I was trying to explain Bob the Builder to them with no success at the time).

MorticiaAnnSpookington · 24/10/2008 09:58

please no CGI crap for Bagpuss who is indeed sacred - what if they change the voices ?

MacdogOnElmStreet · 24/10/2008 19:02

Bagpuss with another voice just wouldn't be Bagpuss.
Got the DVD (for dd honestly)
I spend more time watching it than she does

He never went away in this house.

Why can't they just re-run the original series? It's timeless.

MacdogOnElmStreet · 24/10/2008 19:16

I just hope they don't bugger it up update it too much. Still coming to terms with Bert and Ernie on Milkshake...

row, row, row your boat across the kitchen floor
merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, under the pantry door.

OK, can't remember the next lyrics but they did involve stinking stilton cheese and orange squash.

Happy days.

(If they 'Scrappy-Doo' it I'll have the entire production team assassinated).

What about the chocolate bicuit factory using breadcrumbs and butterbeans

WhizzzingAroundOnABroomstick · 24/10/2008 19:48

Question : Do you think Gabriel and Madelaine were hvaing an affair?????

TheDuchessOfNorksDied · 24/10/2008 20:12

Oh definitely.

And do you remember Professor Yaffle behaving like a love-sick puppy over the "Prima Ballerina" (also said in high-pitched Charlie mouse voice). He made a complete fool of himself. Tut!

MacdogOnElmStreet · 24/10/2008 20:29

Gabriel always scared me when I was a pup..didn't care much for Madeline either
