think this is quite good, its revving up a bit anyway.
Does anyone know if the billionaire in it is the same actor who was the cool kid from Pretty in Pink (or maybe it was the breakfast club)?

poppy34 · 15/10/2008 21:04

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/10/2008 21:07

LOVE this

and yes millionaire is andrew Mccartney from breakfast club, st elmos fire etc

carrotsandpeasifyouplease · 16/10/2008 09:31

brooke shields' husband should be fanciable but hes got really small shoulders.
and how tiny is victory? and how refreshingly unstick like brooke shields is, although still a gorgeous body.
Andrew Mccartney is very sexy but dont like the young fling bloke at all.

I love this too! Filling the sex and the city void.

ILikeToScareYouScareYou · 16/10/2008 09:42

I'm getting into this too. Andrew McCarthey seems to have improved with age.

KatieScarlett2833 · 16/10/2008 09:43

Hang on, Andrew McCarthy is on TV???

Where and when, please?

akhemsProjectilePeaSoup · 16/10/2008 09:45

poppy34 · 11/11/2008 10:53

well worth watching - think its read my lips

Blinglovin · 11/11/2008 10:58

I love it!

But suspect it might be a bit hardcore feminist for a lot of people?

I would like to see Victory being the strong one for a change. She does seem to be the tag-along person?

mum2samandalex · 11/11/2008 15:48

typical me to start watching it when its the last episode will have to browse the net i think for a catch up

poppy34 · 11/11/2008 16:38

think its due out on dvd in time for xmas if thats any help

dooneygirl · 11/11/2008 16:51

Try not to get too attached, as we're in season 2 here in the States, and it isn't doing very well in the ratings, and is unlikely to make it the whole season here before getting canceled.

poppy34 · 11/11/2008 16:52

doh.. dooneygirl tell me that there are no similar plans for brothers and sisters or dirty sexy money?

dooneygirl · 11/11/2008 16:56

I was reading an article about shows not likely to survive the entire TV season, and I'm afraid it mentioned DSM, too.

poppy34 · 11/11/2008 16:59

damn.. obviously I've not got good taste (mind you it is a complete 80s throwback)

Blinglovin · 11/11/2008 17:02

When is the new Brother and Sister's on incidentally? Anyone know?

stillstanding · 11/11/2008 17:04

Blinglovin, do you really think this is hardcore feminism? Wow ...

I like it but it is kind of mindless and nothing much seems to happen, no?

SATC infinitely superior imo.

poppy34 · 11/11/2008 17:05

dunno -new year sometime I'm guessing as series 3 is on in the US already

look away if you don't want spoilers

link

Blinglovin · 11/11/2008 17:12

The first couple of episodes were definitely hardcore - it softened up slightly since then.

But there were a few statements from the Kim Raver and Brooke Shields characters, in the context of women who work and childcare and stuff.

Admittedly, they're a little more whiney now so it's harder to see that working. Amusingly, I ws going to start a thread at the time saying, "do you think these statements from the characters in LJ are too hardcore feminist for most people" then forgot, and now can't remember what they were!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/11/2008 23:52

dooney

it says it has 22 episodes in my tv mag -thats over 6mths

and yes LOVE dsm and B&S - think they said they would be back in jan
