Did you ever get a picture on the 'wall' in Take Hart? Is it still your biggest claim to fame?

JuneBugJen · 03/10/2008 12:36

No, and Jimmy Saville never fixed it for me either.#

I envy the giddy heights your sister reached.

AnAngelWithin · 03/10/2008 12:38

no but i found this the other day. Poor fella can't draw any more. that must be horrid for him cos he's done it for so long!

snigger · 03/10/2008 12:59

Poor Tony.

All things considered, though, darling sisters offering was pants .... his impaired judgement should have been assessed medically way back then.

I used to love his big Rolf Harris-y wall pictures.

Blue Peter badges, now personally I think they are an urban myth, I don't know ANYONE with one of them.

I got a Blue Peter's badge. It was a runners up prize for a cake design competition. I am very proud. It didn't bring fame though as it was runners up only...

UniversallyChallenged · 03/10/2008 13:02

No i tried too

most i achieved was a joke published in Whizzer and Chips - was so proud!

TheFallenMadonna · 03/10/2008 13:05

No, but I had a letter read out on 'Why Don't You'

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/10/2008 18:19

i drew mr strong from mr men

was very proud to see it on national tv

think i was about 8

liath · 03/10/2008 18:21

No, but i was a runner-up in a Blue Peter competition once. That is my biggest claim to fame so far (age 36).

PortAndLemon · 03/10/2008 18:22

No, but I got a Blue Peter runners-up badge. And I had a letter published in Scooby Doo Magazine once [proud].

(I think it was Scooby Doo Magazine, if there was such a publication. If there wasn't then presumably it was something else...)

liath · 03/10/2008 18:22

Ooh, pathofleastresistance - was it the Lord Mayors Cake Competition? I got a badge with a pop-up flag. I think it was 1982. I was dead excitied.....

SaintGeorge · 03/10/2008 18:36

But I got one on Vision On.

Gawd I'm old.

snigger · 03/10/2008 19:14

I had a 'weather painting' on tv. And yes it still is my only claim to fame sadly.

RustyBear · 04/10/2008 00:33

My sister got a Blue Peter badge - actually for a painting competition.
SaintGeorge - I am Vision On vintage too!

Liath - yes yes it was! I did one based on the monopoly board (my gran's idea). Do you think they gave out lots of runners up prizes?
