no, Mark is her landlord. She left her place as the landlord was a perv. She had nowhere to live, Mark offered her a room (he's a nice bloke).

Father must be from her past, as she hasn't been in for longer than 6 months.

In her first episode there was a patient she'd had a relationship with - she got back with him and ended up with the perv landlord when he kicked her out and threw her clothes all over the ward.

She's been living with mark for ages though .
