CBEEBIES - Favourite/Least favourite

gingerbabe · 11/02/2005 13:20

I know this was done before, a while ago but as I couldn't see it when I scrolled through I thought I would start it again.

What is your fav/least fav Cbeebies programmes? My fav is The Shiny Show - I think the humour on that is great. Least fav definitely Boogie Beebies - how annoying is that bloke?!!

OP posts:
scampadoodle · 11/02/2005 15:31

Faves: Tikkabilla (unless Sarah-jane is on), 64 Zoo Lane, Pingu, Bob the Builder (for the Unresolved Sexual Tension between Bob & Wendy), Cbeebies Christmas panto (but I hate panto generally)

Hates: Boogie Beebies (loathe the blond kid at the beginning of the credits - if my ds's turn out like that I will shoot myself, & isn't the bloke - Pete? - a weird shape?), Zingalong, fimbles. Oh, & Clifford! God I hate Clifford. If he's that big, can you imagine the cr*p? What size pooper-scooper would you need?!

Ds1 loves Something Special, & -sigh- Boogie Beebies.

Did anyone see Poi & Chris on Ready Steady Cook last week? She is tiny!!!

gingerbabe · 11/02/2005 15:32

I had completely forgotten about Zingalong when I typed my original message. That has to be the worst programme EVER!!! If it ever manged to come on TV before I managed to switch it off the tune would be stuck in my head for the whole day. Aarrgghh!!

Also find Sarah Jane incredibly annoying. I bet she'd be the type to be a real girly flirt round husbands!

scampadoodle · 11/02/2005 15:32

Sorry, Cbeebies panto should've gone in my Hates list.

Newbarnsleygirl · 11/02/2005 15:36

Why does Sarajayne insist on wearing trousers that are too short for her?

Has anyone noticed?

Prettybird · 11/02/2005 15:38

Love: Boogie Beebies (seems you either love it or hate it )

Hate: Blue Cow (with a passion), Big Cook Little Cook (but will tolerate it becasue ds likes it)

Bagpuss30 · 11/02/2005 15:50

Hate Zingalong with a passion (her singing is like nails on a chalk board) and also Bits and Bobs

Love Boo, Koala Brothers, Bob and Something Special (because ds and dd try to do the signs).

favourite - Something Special (because dd has learning disability and I've learnt more signs from Justin than any speech and language therapist!)and because dd LOVES it.

hate - Tweenies & Balamory

Just like to add that I was really heartened that so many of your children love Something Special. As signing is my dd's main means of communication and is likely to be for some time I feel really pleased that because of this programme she is more likely to be able to communicate with other kids her age . Well, she'll be able to say "Look" and "Mr Tumble" and they'll understand her anyway .

scampadoodle · 11/02/2005 16:40

I remember once on Tikkabilla whichever bloke was on sang, then Sarah Jane joined in with the chorus in her over-enthusiastic drama-school way - the soundperson must have had to leap back 50ft, she was so loud.

Kelly1978 · 11/02/2005 16:42

I love something special, it's really good for ds, who doesn't talk too much. I also quite liek Tikkabila, for the educational value.

Apart from that I cannot sit thru anything else on there, although the kids love Come Outside and Fimbles, the rest all annoy me.

I HATE boogie beebies. ds and dd both love dancing and singing, but this doesn't inspire them at all. Plus, I put cbeebies on for a bit of peace and quiet, not to have gym lessons in the lounge!!

sozie · 11/02/2005 16:47

My dd 4 and ds 2 love Something Special especially Mr Tumble, Big Cook Little Cook and Tweenies the best.

sozie · 11/02/2005 16:48

We all love Something Special in our house from me, DH and DS1 (12) down. The DTs adore it. They are beginning to sign because of it.

Hate the Fimbles, Zingalong, Boogie Beebies... yuk!!!!!!!!!!
64 Zoo Lane is ok except when I find myself singing the theme on buses or in church. Not so good then.

Love Tweenies, hate Teletubbies

ediemay · 12/02/2005 00:42

love Pingu, Something Special, Koala Brothers, Come Outside, Postman Pat and the Tubbies

cannot stand Roly Mo (prunegirl, I volunteer to strangle him), Fimbles, Tweenies or the Shiny Show

colditzmum · 12/02/2005 00:57

I love the shiny show! It genuinely makes me laugh!

I hate the fimbles though.

Glad to see someone else appreciate the humour in The Shiny Show, Colditzmum. I can't believe so many people hate it.

DS loves Bill and Ben and Spider and Angelmouse but they are not on any more He also likes Balamory and Something Special. We went to the circus and he didn't like the clowns because they weren't as good as Mr Tumble. The something special website is his fave thing on the computer.

Hate the Shiny Show and Zingalong and Barnaby the patronising Bear.

WestCountryLass · 12/02/2005 21:19

Love = Postman Pat
Hate = Shiny Show
