I listened to it this morning and it was so sad and shocking that I sobbed through the whole thing.

OK not the best way to spend a free half hour but it is so moving and worth listening to.

They were either orphans or the children of the poor, of single parents etc.

The brutal cruelty with which they were treated was breathtaking. Horrific. And people in their seventies when Charles Wheeler interviewed them breaking down in tears when remembering...
