I’m about to get to the end of this lovely Australian family saga which I’ve really enjoyed / can anyone recommend anything similar please? X

I wonder if you might like A Country Practice ? It's not the same as A Place To Call Home, but it is Australian & does have the same kind of wholesome appeal to it. It's set in a small place called Wandin Valley and it is an absolute delight. I'm just watching it on YouTube for free right now, there's lots of episodes too. I loved it when it first aired back in 80's and have only just found it again. I find it really relaxing to watch, it's funny as well as sad in parts.
