Loving this beautifully filmed series. All actors are superb.
I’m on episode 4 (I think) and what I’m finding hard to understand is Cathy’s character.
Her father beat her, is that why she is now a psychopath?

I just finished episode 5. It’s so dark but so good and so well made,

I've finished episode 4, not to sure what makes Cathy the way she is, hopefully find out in later episodes, Florence Pugh is amazing though

On Episode 3. It really compliments the book

tv Cathy has an added backstory suggesting her absence of decency / compassion is as a result of childhood experience. It’s an interesting departure from the book which has her as just plain evil. The book is anchored around the concept of free will (timshel) and rejection of determinism.
