my brother in law, a football and cricket playing, beer drinking Northern man's man used to come home from work early just so he could watch it!

oh yeah... loved the theme tune

I used to rush home just to watch it. wasn't there a brother and sister who were twins but didn't know and got together?

I loved it, knew if was naff but didn't care.

Wasn't there also an older lady who was a family friend and had been a prostitute?

Never missed an episode. Recorded them all as I was at work and raced home to watch them. Also bought the books.

Loved watching this as a 16 year old when I was watching at home when I supposedly studying for my O levels.

He is now a Triple Olivier Award winner in London's West End

Loved it .This and 'prisoner cell block h'.
I was about 8 at the time and watched these two and 'come dancing' with my Nana.

I didn't realise Philip Quast was in Sons and Daughters. I didn't watch that so much. The one I really liked was The Young Doctors - anyone remember that?

Yeh...it used to be on at lunchtime, when we came home from school for lunch!
Oh I loved Cell Block H too!

I used to hate it, I can remember coming home from school and it was always blardy on, my mum was an addict!

The Young Doctors was fantastic. Anyone remember the pop star who wore white jumpsuits and had bleached white hair? He was hideous but all the nurses swooned over him.

Sons and Daughters fab too.

What about A Country Practice - i loved that but not as much as The Flying Doctors. I still have some episodes on tape, that i watch when i get a bit soppy

my mum watched this, and young doctors. She thought it was great. I was a little too young.

I think I used to watch this when I was a nurse working nights. It used to be on when I got up at about 3.30pm.

What was the name of the pretty girl with the long black hair who fell in love with her brother, but she didn't know he was her brother? She rode horses on a lovely ranch.

i used to work in a pub so afternoons were my viewing times - sons and daugthers and then turn over for a brazillian soap called 'dancin' days' was dreadful crap, badly dubbed and absolutly rivitting!!!
