has anyone watched this? I am surprised how good it is, watched 4 episodes today and planning finale tonight, it’s excellent and there is a message saying that the group chats are actually real comments made by male police officers (they are dreadful )

I enjoyed it, and I think it’s better written than many itv dramas. But I didn’t really believe in Michelle Keegan as a police woman and I thought the ending was overblown.

@HobgoblinNorFoulFiend I thought the ending was good, very twisty and I didn’t guess anyone. Could have done without the romance really but maybe relevant to how Emma felt, more than if he was just her detective partner. I think she was very good but perhaps a little too young. Looks as though a part 2 is on the cards as well.

Yes, I think she needed to be a bit more tough, or hard-edged, as someone who has been in that environment would have to be, especially looking like she does.

@HobgoblinNorFoulFiend like Helen Mirren was in Prime Suspect back in the day. I thought it was very watchable, the two main idiot male police officers were perhaps a bit overdone, they certainly got my back up especially the blonde smug one 🤬

they were, and it’s an excellent idea to use them that way. Overall I’d watch a second series, especially if they lean into the realism, and cut back the glamorous romantic leads.

I'm on Episode 5 and getting so annoyed at all the corruption in the police force. I hope James and Stephens get sacked.

@Meredusoleil they are so infuriating - good acting I’d say though, like director says make yourself as obnoxious as possible and they really succeeded !

Omg! The last episode is full of twists and turns. I had no idea what was going on half the time 😳 Totally not expecting the outcome. It's looking like Lewis is the only non-corrupt one (for now anyway).

Series 2 will probably be Lewis trying to get to the bottom of why Emma hid that photo ie her planting that evidence and framing Vogel.
