I thought the foreign secretary was useless. Thank god he did the job for 2 secs when no real issues occurred. Mind you Tories doing what Tories do lots of talk bluster and stupidity. If they were being real. The Foreign sec would be on holiday and not answer the phone.
Gove looked like the unstable coke head making the worst decisions. The General made himself looked like a nutter keep pushing aggression with sod all to back it up.
Making some duff decisions moaning about not having 12, but only 6 would of been about verses the 3 we would have working at one time.
Sticking a Type 45 destroyer at a difficult to get to dock full of nuclear armed subs, yeah keep it stationary so the Russian can bomb it out and like they don't have it's own defenses to ICBM, it's not like it's been invented yesterday.
Call back fleet from offshore missions and like they would leave a boat following Russian fleet with no protections.
It's like every poor decision they could make. No talk to European neighbours till too late. Being at the teet of US and NATO who couldn't give a damn from Early on.
We bomb back Russia knowing what that would do lol. Could of gone to UN and had half the world on our side to call out Russia for blanket bombing us and why was it coming all down from Scotland end of the country when Russia is the other end.
The joke of we wouldn't know where the ICBM would land till it hit target. What happened to early warning not just from our own sites, but further afield.
The only sane one ironically seemed the legal council and Nicola Sturgeon in all of this.
Agree with others ring up the Russians and talk before bombing their sub. We could escort the sub out of the waters, which would of been fair and from research the aircraft and other protection would be in place when we follow these Russian asset incase they decide to act on us, so we can warn we know what they are up to and share with the world.
Felt very Maggie play book rather than sensible sit down and chat and back out from what was just a ship hitting some rocks. Lol.
Pretty sure this stuff happens a lot more than we know and we now know why Mordent and Gove and even Johnson would be kept away from real decisions and egotist like the General would be kept in his lane.
He seemed very Navy focused. No Army or RAF options.
Plus builds up to everything to a what was the decision, oh shock fade to black lol
