THE SPLIT UP. 20/9 - mon&tue 9pm bbc 1 - TV PACE NO SPOILERS

[Blondeshavemorefun]

Starts sun 20th Sept

A glorious spin off from the split but with a new family

The six-part series will introduce us to Kishan Law, a British-South Asian high net worth family law firm in Manchester, and the go-to for the city’s elite.

At the centre of it is Aria Kishan (played by Ritu Arya), a fast-rising star who’s poised to step up and take the mantle from her father Dhruv (Sanjeev Bhaskar).

We’ll also meet Aria’s siblings Maya (Aysha Kala), Kav (Arian Nik), and partner Neal (Danny Ashok).

However, the family’s succession plans are complicated by the death of Aria’s mother, as Dhruv begins to wonder if his daughter can, or should, take on the responsibility single handedly.

The official synopsis continues: “Aria’s relationship is placed under scrutiny too with the wedding to long-term partner Neal on the horizon, but with their personal and professional lives so entwined it’s unclear if their relationship can withstand any more pressure - a problem further compounded when a former secret flame (Dimitri Leonidas) arrives in Manchester unexpectedly.

How exciting, will be SAT

I hope it will be good

obv with new family will be different from Original

Sanjeev Bhaskar is usually a guarantee of quality so I will definitely be watching this.

Same writer as The Split, but no original cast.
A spinoff.
Agree about the cast, looks strong, hopefully it will be like the original, bit of law and lots of family drama. Nice to have a Sunday evening show that’s not a repeat. Thanks for the heads up @Blondeshavemorefun

Deffo. Love him in unforgotten

Love a legal drama

There’s a new series of This City is Ours coming soon, we’ll be split for choice!

Spoilt for choice, doh.

Just says they’ve finished filming, and will be on in the Autumn, we’re off to Happy Town😀

Well tech Sept is autumn

I can’t find a definite date @Blondeshavemorefun , but good news is that there’s 8 episodes! And the photos of the gorgeous Mr Kavanagh are lush. Hopefully early Autumn x

Can’t wait!

I hope there’s excellent clothes and covetable kitchens!

Whoop. Starts tonight e1

I know this is no spoilers so won't give anything away other than I'm 12 mins in and it's really good!
Shame perhaps that all 6 episodes are available at once as I won't be able to stop myself from bingeing!

I watched the first episode and won't be watching anymore because it was formulaic and, well, everything you would expect. Also, Lenny Henry was miscast.

Yawn.

And plenty of wine in massive glasses.

Oh yes 😄

I hate the way they have all on iPlayer

bring back the way they did it for LOD and happy valley
