Starts sun 20th Sept

A glorious spin off from the split but with a new family

The six-part series will introduce us to Kishan Law, a British-South Asian high net worth family law firm in Manchester, and the go-to for the city’s elite.

At the centre of it is Aria Kishan (played by Ritu Arya), a fast-rising star who’s poised to step up and take the mantle from her father Dhruv (Sanjeev Bhaskar).

We’ll also meet Aria’s siblings Maya (Aysha Kala), Kav (Arian Nik), and partner Neal (Danny Ashok).

However, the family’s succession plans are complicated by the death of Aria’s mother, as Dhruv begins to wonder if his daughter can, or should, take on the responsibility single handedly.

The official synopsis continues: “Aria’s relationship is placed under scrutiny too with the wedding to long-term partner Neal on the horizon, but with their personal and professional lives so entwined it’s unclear if their relationship can withstand any more pressure - a problem further compounded when a former secret flame (Dimitri Leonidas) arrives in Manchester unexpectedly.

The main cast of The Split Up includes:
• Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy (https://www.playpilot.com/series/the-umbrella-academy-2019-series/))

I think I am giving up on this- and as I said I am their target market being S Asian- and moving on to " War" on Sky, also a legal drama with Dominic West.

The Split Up is just very poorly scripted and the cases are very dull. Disappointed.

I have thread on that. I did earlier

starts Friday tv paced obviously

so those on here may enjoy it if have sky

Watched it all on iplayer this weekend. Loved it. It’s perfect x

Italiangreyhound · 01/10/2026 20:40

I love the Indian Hindu aspect of it, I hope it is all accurate. I love the clothes. The drama. Just great.

BabaJaeger · 02/10/2026 15:51

ooh goody can I hop on? only watched first two so won't look at the thread til I've caught up

I think it's kind of nonsense and that it's verrrry like the Split (I thought that was nonsense too)

will I watch the rest?

OH HELL YEAH

I've only watched episode one and first episodes are notoriously tricky. What a load of old pony! I’ll be sticking with it though

Walkingwithlions · 03/10/2026 23:43

I’ve stuck with it and now I’m really enjoying it. So we think Zoya is a half sister? I think there’s more intrigue to come, from what the dad has said.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2026 09:51

Well she said she was at end of e4 so ……

Unbelievably weak script and plotting. A frustrating waste of some good actors.

Italiangreyhound · 04/10/2026 13:20

I love it, I think the intrigue is all there, who is who and what is what.

I do wonder if something will be revealed about Linda the PA/assistant and Sanjeev Bhaskar's character (no that is not a spoiler, it is a guess!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/10/2026 07:26

No one watch it ? I saw after the blame

glad she’s half told the truth to Neal

Linda knew about zoya so how close is she to the family /dhruv and wasn’t she the one painting the face

least he wasn’t unfaithful and their mum knew

looked like maya and Micheal were getting close and she wants to forgive him

poor Luke being used

glad ashok and kav got together

soya ex dh was an arse but seems her daughter loves her

not sure how this will end tomorow

OP posts:
Walkingwithlions · 05/10/2026 09:41

I watched. Poor Luke, she’s used him! She does have chemistry with him though, unlike with Neal. Neal is more like a brother to her. She shouldn’t marry him.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/10/2026 13:28

Yes will she be brave though to say no. As I think Neal may forgive her

I watched last night and then tonight’s because I couldn’t wait. So I’m not going to make any comments until after episode 6 has aired as I can’t 100% remember what happened in which episode and don’t want to get in trouble!

It's bad, but in a funny way I'm still enjoying it.

Truthfully I thought it was going to be much better than it is though.
