Debating if Netflix is worth £12.99 a month now?

It just seems so much for just one 'channel'?

I actually thought I was paying about 7.99 until I saw the charge on my statement recently! I must be trapped in a mental time warp.

I could go to £5.99 but I loathe adverts.

There are 6 of us in the house but its been a long while since we have had the 'too many people watching' message.

I might down grade for a month and see how we fare.

I swear I spend most of my time on there scrolling to find something to watch.

Maybe have a break from it for a couple of months and try something else. Then when you go back there might be more to watch

I pay £12.99 for YouTube with no adverts. I think YouTube is much better value than Netflix as theres so much variety on it. We all use the same subscription as we dont use it all the time. Netflix isn't as good as it was.

Around the end of last year I unsubscribed from Netflix and Disney.

I haven’t missed Netflix at all and rarely remember that I ever had it. When there’s publicity for the latest Netflix blockbuster I experience the lowest possible level of curiosity - for about a millisecond, then forget about it.

Disney, I’ve had to re-subscribe to once for a month - for The Bear and some MCU thing I’ve already forgotten.

I’ve now had nearly a year of membership of my local multiplex cinema - and that has been a million times more worthwhile.

I’m happy with £5.99 - and will put up with the ads.

I do find a lot of stuff I like to watch on Netflix - DH not so much but I tend to have more time to watch tv 😁

We pay £5.99 there really isn't to many ads and it saves pausing to go for a wee.

We just decided to drop to having ads too. Whilst we like Netflix & watch loads on there, we can't justify the cost of being ad free. And we've also got Disney + on the cheapest setting, for now, but often cancel that for several months, after we've watched everything we want to watch.

The ads are so short. I don't find it worth paying more to get rid of them.

Ive downgraded to ads, theyre hardly noticable.

There are ads, but they are not bad at all. Not minutes long like Prime. I have watched some things that had none at all. If there are ads, they are about 20 seconds.

Are they between episodes or do they appear mid eppisode? Do they have them during films?

Are they just Ads for Netflix shows or products too?

A couple at the start, and a couple at the end. They are not intrusive at all. It might be different with something like a film, but an hour long episode of a series... not intrusive at all.

Compared to Prime... very frequent and long. But then I am from a generation where we could not skip ads and there were the chance to go make a cup of tea.
