Only just discovered this and have binged the first season. Really enjoyed it and thought it was great the contrast between cheesy sitcom and gritty.
Bloody Prime only have the 1st season included so have to pay extra to watch S2 - has anyone watched it and if so is S2?just as good and worth paying for!

We watched it when it came out. I really liked it, Annie Murphy is a fantastic actor.

I'll be honest, I'm bad at remembering TV I watched last week, let alone a couple of years ago, but I do remember it was good. I think it might be darker in season 2. Sorry, not much help!

😂 that’s ok. Thank you anyway. S1 ended with Neil entering the dark gritty scenes and being hit over the head. So I want to see what happens next. Think I will treat myself. Annoying it’s not includes in the regular streaming packages.

Excellent news, OP. I enjoyed S1 when I watched it a couple of years ago, but have been putting off S2 as I didn't want to pay for it!

Yes I decided against paying for s2 even though really wanted to see it so am chuffed to see it on itv.
Such a clever concept and I think it works really well.

Just started series 2… I really like it but I feel like I missed an important bit of plot… why didn’t she just leave Kevin ?

I think in the sitcom element they all seemed to love him because he was the ‘funny’ one so she just laughed and went along with it and didn’t feel she needed to leave and then in the real life element she realised the only way to be rid of him permanently was for one of them to die. I could be very wrong though!

I really loved this show, such a clever concept. The first time she walks through the kitchen door and the scene is suddenly darker is just brilliant, I was hooked.
the scene where she is talking about how he sabotaged her attempt to get a job and they all laughed along, was spot on. Really hit home about being in a controlling marriage and how it is viewed by other people.

got to be honest season 2, gets a lot darker and a bit more far fetched. Glad they didn’t drag it out for a lot more seasons like they usually do.

Agree with everything you said. Couldn’t have worded it better. It also made me look at other sitcoms very differently!
