Just finished this and loved it. Not a fan of Dominic West but love the female characters, especially Helen.
looking for a similar series which is intelligent and well acted.
any suggestions?

Funny enough, he is at least hot like his character. And that time he was caught cheating on his wife and they put out that statement - she loves him like his fictional wife did

The other guy who plays Cole is a weak bottom of a man - nothing like his character, very icky 🤢

I watched The Affair earlier this year and I am now re-watching The Americans on Disney plus that I originally watched in 2021. I do like a multi-season American show with strong female lead - Keri Russell - plus Matthew Rhys. It’s 6 seasons.

I watched it when it first came out years ago and I would still say it's one of my most favourite TV shows ever.

I actually cried my eyes at at the last one, found it very emotional.

I'm watching The Americans for the first time! Halfway through season 3. It's great - really well written and acted, full of action, full of tension. The characters are really well rounded. My only criticism is that some of the disguises are a bit daft and quite ropey😁

Keri reminds me of Kate Middleton with her lovely swishy princess hair 😍 Matthew is just yum 🥰

@tennissquare tried it - couldn’t get on with it. Love that actress but the subject matter doesn’t grab me.
trying Mobland now which has the advantage of Tom Hardy, and a 2nd season due out shortly.

@Ifeelfat, if you like MobLand you could try The Gentlemen on Netflix which has season 2 out in Sept.

@Lottapianos, I really love the show and the fact Keri and Matthew got together at the end of season 1 and she was pregnant with their son in season 4 is an extra dimension. This Sept they are both nominated at the Emmy’s for separate shows (Widow’s Bay/Beast in me & The Diplomat) - first time they are both nominated since the Americans ended.

I loved The Affair, was gripped all the way throughout.

Have you watched Big Little Lies? That was really well done.

Little Fires everywhere. That one stayed with me for some time after watching.

Have you seen Love Me ? It is an Australian series and follows different family members as they each embark on relationships. I really enjoyed it, it is very grown-up but natural and not soapy. I believe you can see it free on the. Channel 4 app and U.
