I want to watch the one with the Dd lost in France.

"Douglas is Cancelled" was decent and on Ch 5, if I remember rightly...but that is the ONLY decent thing I've ever come across. I would welcome other recommendations too.

We gave up on that, I'm afraid, shame, as i like Joanna Scanlon.

Oh shame, I've been watching Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders on 5 and keep seeing adverts for it.
I generally don't mind if the dramas are a bit ridiculous, I expect it tbh!

newnamefor2026 · 24/07/2026 15:17

None of these are great but all watchable and a little ridiculous;
The Ex Wife
The Wives
The Curfew
The Fortune
The Rumor
I quite like an episode of a channel 5 drama when I’m working from home & actually sitting down away for the laptop eating lunch. You can suspend all sense of reality and you can wonder how people afford massive houses and never seem to have to go to work…..

Basically you look for Jo Joyner, Jill Halfpenny or Sally Lindsay and you are good to go 🤣

YouCanDanceSaidVodka · 24/07/2026 15:22

😁😁

Oh, you are SO right!

Decent Dramas and Channel 5 just don’t go together ever. You start out with such great hopes which quickly disappears half way through the first episode.😂

RevengeOfTheDirtyLaundry · 24/07/2026 21:18

The Teacher Series 3 was quite good, albeit severely lacking in protagonists you could sympathise with.

WingingItMam48 · 24/07/2026 21:18

There's one starting next week, Murder on benidorm that I will watch. Also can't help but love good shop murder and madam blanc mysteries. You don't go to channel 5 for quality dramas, more escapist cheese. They have good actors but usually terrible scripts.

Fairly sure that one was actually ITV!
