Monty the dog is very sadly dying of cancer. He has been in the soap since 2018. Cain and Monty look at each other with genuine love in their eyes. You can tell that actor Jeff Hordley is a dog owner (he recently lost one of his own dogs). One of my own elderly dogs died a couple of months ago too. It's going to be a hard watch!
